Mission Hill Historic District

Worthington St and Wigglesworth St

Mission Hill Architectural Conservation District is a designated local historic district showcasing two-story brick row houses, some with brownstone, sandstone, or marble facing. These row houses are typically set back from the sidewalk, allowing for small, landscaped front yards. This small conservation district is in the original town of Roxbury, which occupied a prime location as the last town on the mainland before crossing the neck to Boston on the Shawmut Peninsula which has since been widened with landfill.  Take a detour up Wigglesworth St. and Worthington St. for better views.
